Spent a sabbatical year as a K-12 Substitute, teaching at 45 different campuses in South Bay & other areas of Los Angeles across the course of the year while building skills for working with different ages and communities, and spending intentional reflection and journaling time daily to improve my own educational practices.

Maintained detailed records for teachers daily as accountability and follow up, also keeping records as material for an autobiographical memoir while going through this transitional year.

Published daily whiteboard art on Instagram to create a fun and welcoming classroom environments and establish a reputation as a skilled educator and artist on many campuses. 

Taught grades 7-8 Spanish classes on Zoom during COVID lockdowns and in-person as students returned to in-person learning.

Authored targeted lesson content and activities to meet the needs of learners during the pandemic.

Collaborated with colleagues, students, and parents to create a safe and calm classroom environment.

Rose from graphic design assistant to Co-Owner, managing all in-house business operations.

Trained and supervised new employees, including conducting team interviews for hiring.

Represented the company with high-profile clients, maintaining direct contact with executives of national and international companies, and personally handling their ongoing projects.

Created thousands of different awards designs, logo files, name badges, custom engraved goods, and more using a wide variety of art programs, imprinting and etching methods, laser engraving, rotary engraving, and more.

Developed a deep understanding of art processes for a wide range of digital and physical projects for clients.

Mentored and supported students in their college plans as part of the A.V.I.D. program.

Organized on-campus events, college tours, and field trips for students.

Coordinated A.V.I.D. tutoring groups and sponsored student clubs and organizations, including Gay Straight Alliance (GSA), Dungeons & Dragons Club, Spontaneous Pancake Club; coordinated efforts for fundraising, public outreach, etc.

Served on the Curriculum Committee and contributed to WASC accreditation efforts.

Maintained online grade book and created a class-specific Spanish website for access to lesson materials and homework.

Developed educational parody song with 190K+ views to teach Spanish verb conjugation.
